Lynne Goerold, a long time federal employee was recently diagnosed with stage IIIA breast cancer. Just after she began her treatments, she learned that her three-year-old daughter, Allison, had leukemia. The treatments for Lynne and Allison have limited her ability to work full time. She is currently participating in a voluntary leave program, but as the primary breadwinner for the family, the loss of her income has been devastating for the family. The Professionals Miracles Foundation granted $4,000 to help the family with housing and living expenses.
